Thanks to some inspiration from my dear friend and amazingly talented blogger, Sarah (http://kittensandpitbulls.blogspot.com/) I have decided that its time for me to do a little revamp or rebirth of my blog!
She mentioned in her ‘about me’ page, how we as bloggers can: “pigeon-hole ourselves into a specific niche.” Boy, is she right! That is exactly how I have been feeling lately about my blog. When I read that it just clicked for me.
I want my blog to be more of a journal, I don’t want to post just about crafting but about all aspects of my life; wether it be a cool place I visited, a crafty project I have done, or something about my family!
I will keep the same name, but just be changing my formatting and the things I post about!
I hope that you continue to follow me, or if you are not already following me that you will decide to join me in my journey! Let me know what you think!
PS: Check out her blog and follow along with her too!
Unfortunately I havent posted in a while. My mind, heart and life have been a little preoccupied lately. I have been working on something very important, and that is trying to raise money for a very dear friend of mine. He has been given only months left to live!
Not only is he my friend but my daughters Godfather, Marine SGT Joshua Franks survived a roadside bomb during his third tour in Iraq only to find out he has an inoperable brain tumor, he was admitted into the VA on Sunday Feb 26, 2012, and they can’t really do much more for him at this point. He is seeking additional options and care, and looking for second opinions to help fight his battle. He leaves for MD Anderson in Houston tomorrow, for a three day evaluation to see what they might be able to do for him.
The VA is not covering any of this, and as you may know insurance only covers a very small portion. My hope is to raise enough money for him and his new wife that they will have no worries during this time other than to get Josh the help he needs. His wife will also be missing alot of work to be by Josh’s side.
You can watch their amazing story here:
If you would like to help Josh, please visit his fund page, and spread the word:
Thank you so much for you time, in reading this!

My Mini Superstar
I know that this really doesn’t have anything to do with Crafting, or DIY projects, but it is a part of my life.
My little girl Chloe, is five, and she is the diva in the house. She is obsessed with Justin Bieber as most children her age are. She was watching Ellen with me one day, and she had little Sophie on there, not sure if you remember the little girl who sang the Nicki Minaj song. Anyway long story short, she saw how the little girl got to meet Nicki Minaj, and so now her dream is to have this video go viral so she can meet Justin Bieber!
So she put on this little show for me to record, which is actually an every day occurence in our our home, and now I have uploaded it for her to YouTube.
Anyway hope you enjoy!
I am a mommy and a wife. I work part time for my parents, but other than that I am pretty much a stay at home mom! I love my family, they are my world. But besides God and my family, my passions are Food, Arts & Crafts, DIY projects, Fashion and Traveling!
I have wanted to start a blog for some time now, but my problem is I have so many ideas always spinning around in my head. Its hard to pin just one down. So this will be my start. So forgive me if it takes me sometime to get the hang of this, but I promise to improve, lol.
The internet right now is full of inspiration with etsy, pinterest, and many other diy blogs. My searching has brought me to the place that I want to finally start doing some of these things that I have had ideas to do, make and create!
So follow along with me on my journey to be crafty!
